We are a small kennel in the heart of Scotland, between Edinburgh and Glasgow.
We show and sometimes breed.
My love for the akitas started about 20 years ago, although I never got one until later on.
I ran a staffie rescue for about 5 years, then got involved in the akitas, and it has been a bumpy ride but I have enjoyed it.
I read up on them for about 3 years and then got my first one and that was me hooked.
We don’t just have akitas but Japanese shiba inus, aka smaller version of the akita and boy!, that about sums the shiba’s up.
All of my family are involved with the akitas and shibas and you can see us out walking the dogs in any weather especially Phil.
My lot are well socialised and live happily with 2 cats.
When we do breed it is only to get something for the show ring, we never breed from dogs that have not met all the requirement, an example being that we hip score and eye test.
We only breed from the best and to get the best.
